We (obviously) don't have "real" Halloween here in Norway. We have this weird pretend-thingie, meaning some(a few) kids will dress up (in really cheap mass produced costumes) and they'll go around in their neighborhood begging candy. It not the same kind of phenomena that you get in the states.
I think the halloween phenomenon in the US is actually quite disturbing. Not only are masses of young children walking around at night and into potentially dangerous neighborhoods, they come home with candy from strangers. Even if the candy is normal, candy is not good for your teeth, and the candy nowadays leads to allergies.
